Lesson 9

Today during eir, we had a quiz and i did not scored well for it. I failed for my test because i didn't study much for it.

After our quiz, our tutor divide us into groups, one group to discuss about the advantages and the another one disadvantages of twitter. There was someone observing us this lesson. Firstly for the first activity, we were supposed to use letter A-Z to form words about advantages and disadvantages.

Secondly, for the second activity, we were supposed to evaluate twitter based on how it can help us in our area of study.

From the discussion, i learn that Twitter is a website that can help us in our own area we are studying. It helps us to share information with people who are also in working in the same area as you, promote your websites and share healthy recipes. What is more advanced is you can even use your mobile to twit! More ever, twitter can help us in maintaining our social network . No matter how many advantages twitter has, twitter also has its disadvantages. So, we cannot make a conclusion whether it benefits us totally.


8th lesson
Dream holiday
If i were to go to a country which is considered to be my dream holiday, i will choose france.
France is a country with many tourist attractions and is romantic.

France has many tourist attractions lik Eiffel tower,The Louvre, Sainte chappelle, Euro disney.
If you want to go and see monuments, you can go to the prehistoric caves of Dordogne.

France has different weathers as well. It also has summer, autumn, winter and fall.

France's food and culture is very interesting. French love desserts and cheese! I can't live without desert! Can you imagine desert everyday?

lesson 6

Today teacher let us read an article about citizen journalism and we are supposed to write out one thing we had learnt in this article. Teacher let us participate in group discussion.

We were divided into groups and discuss about the "links" between the news provided in http://www.stomp.com.sg . I think that the discussion was not really beneficial to me as I didn't participate alot in the discussion.

4th lesson
Today during lesson, we were asked to contrast google and scholar google. In the past, I didn't use scholar google in my research at all, but after using scholar google, i found that it provides information that is relevant to my research topic. If it is in the past, I will think that it is a good website, but i changed my mind.

In google, you may find information that are irrelevant to research, but scholar provides more accurate, relevant and reliable websites. There is also a part where you have to contrast about the difference for google and scholar. Both of them have different functions and serve different purposes.

3rd lesson
We did nothing much today. We continued to do what we did not complete last week about researching for a website based on our research topic. I am havina a hard time finding a research website as i believe this topic is a very common one. Hence, a lot of people will share the same piece of imformation. Thus, I have to find a website that is good yet interesting and different info from people.

Besides completing what was not done, teacher told us a story about a girl posting something that is wrong, causing people to comment on it negatively. Yet, it motivate the girl to debate somemore about the issue.

I think that debating about the issue will make understanding about the issue more easier. She can communicate with other people whom are also in the same area as her. The disagreement in issue clarifies all doubts and mistakes.

2nd week of EIR

I learnt different terms used in Internet research.

We learnt how to use different webs to research for our topic. I hope i can research more effectively for my topic on effects on eating disorder. Looking forward to the next EIR lesson.
